FAQ

Can I be in the photos with my pet?
Absolutely! We encourage you to be in the photos with your pet. We have resources to help you colour coordinate with them and will help pose you so you are comfortable and look natural, even if you hate being in front of the camera.

What is the difference between Gold, Silver and Bronze sessions?
Our Silver and Gold sessions are designed to be the best of the best

Gold: Designed for those who want full control over the high resolution images. You can print these images at whichever printing studio you like, as large as you like. Images are professionally & artistically edited in my style. Leashes, collars and background distractions are removed and colours are enhanced to make them pop and give them the WOW factor.

Silver: This includes everything the Gold session does with the exception of the high resolution images. Images received will be Web-Resolution and can be printed on your own up to 8x10 if you wish. If you would like larger prints or wall art it will need to be purchased through LGraveline Photography.

Bronze: These images will have only the base edits done and will not have collars removed. This session is designed for those with large families of dogs, large groups, or those who are wanting a more cost effective photo shoot.

What does 'Web Resolution' mean?
There are generally two kind of files we work with. 'High Resolution' files are generally very large and are used specifically for printing large format prints. When these are uploaded to social media pages like Facebook or Instagram, they automatically shrink it down to make it easier to load on the page. Otherwise, it would take forever to scroll through our news feed! Because it does this quickly, it often doesn't compress the image properly and will leave it blurry or pixellated.

Web Resolution (Or Web Res) are pre-compressed files that are smaller and easier for social media platforms to digest and will show up looking exactly how you and I will see the High Resolution files. These files are generally ok to be printed in a smaller format (up to 8x10 or so) but will be pixelated if you try to print them in larger art.

Do you do end of life sessions?
Of course! I think one of the most important things to help with the grieving process is having photos of your pet that you can look back on. I always recommend you get in some of the photos with them. Even if you don't end up choosing those photos at least they will be there for you if you want them.

I generally recommend booking the shoot while they are still feeling themselves however I also do emergency shoots too if needed. Because this can be a financially hard time for many of us, I also offer payment plans or a 'shoot now, pay later' deal to help.

What if my dog is reactive or aggressive to people or other dogs?
This isn't an issue at all! I have many places available that can be booked privately to ensure we don't run into any people or dogs. I have 15 years of dog training experience and can generally read dogs well enough to keep myself safe. At no point do I need to touch your dog or get within 10ft of them. If you are concerned that your dog may lunge or attack me we can keep them on leash and we can take time to get the dog acclimated to me further away with my camera.

My dog doesn't have a stay, can you still get great photos of them?
Yes! Many dogs, especially puppies, don't have a reliable stay. If you are wanting Gold or Silver portraits we will leash them and I will instruct you to pose them as needed and I will edit you and the leash out afterwards.

What if my dog can't be off leash?
No problem at all! Portraits are very easy and if you are wanting action shots we can either use a long line or book one of the many fenced-in areas available in the area.

How does it work with cats?
I recommend doing cat photoshoots at your own house. If you have enough spots in your house that are appropriate for photoshoots we can use the natural elements, otherwise I can bring the studio to you and set up in a large room. In nice weather we can also bring the cats outdoors in a fenced in area or on a harness and leash.
